Jason Ringenberg's alien spoof HONKY TONK MANIAC FROM MARS from the cd ALL OVER CREATION plays during the film and credits.

At the Espanade Hotel in Melbourne Australia, in spite of the curfew, the crowd refuses to leave without a third encore from Jason and his Aussie band The Spurs For Jesus. In fact the crowd cheers and yells for over 15 minutes until Jason and the SFJ return to do rousing versions of Golden Ball and Chain, I Saw the Light, and Both Sides of the Line.

Farmer Jason makes his first radio apprearance at Dave Heard's Acid Country Show on PBS Radio Melbourne. He sings "He's a Guitar Pickin' Chicken" and offers to help any of the radio listeners plant their corn.

Jason debuts a new song "New Fashioned Imperialist" on 2SER Radio Sydney and confirms that a new JR cd will be released in mid 2004.

While playing harmomica on the bar at The Healer in Brisbane Australia Jason jumps off the bar in mid solo. Unfortunately, there was not a floor where he landed, only a flight of stairs. With stretched ankle ligaments and in excruciating pain he finished the show but couldn't walk the next day. By showtime that evening the pain subsided and the show went on. He attributed this healing to "good Austalian soy milk, a liberal dose of good Aussie aspirin, and the Good Lord!"

At the 156th Street Festival in Cleveland Jason brings up two roaming street musicians (guitar and dobro) to jam with him at the end of his set. They did Rt 66, Honky Tonk Blues, John Prine's Paradise, and of all things John Denver's Grandma's Feather Bed!! *

Lerwick, Shetland is SOLD OUT! Jason is joined onstage by The Ramstans, a local group who know many old Scorcher songs. They perform BROKEN WHISKEY GLASS, ABSOLUTELY SWEET MARIE, LOST HIGHWAY, AND I SAW THE LIGHT complete with the entire crowd dancing and singing along. A similar event on this tour had happened in Enschade Holland with a local band called The Dickheads. They opened for Jason singing CRY BY NIGHT OPERATOR, GREETINGS FROM NASHVILLE, SWEET MARIE, AND COUNTRY ROADS.... IN DUTCH!!!!!!

Dutch legend Rene van Barnsfeld , guitarist for the pioneer rock/rap/metal band THE URBAN DANCE SQUAD joins Jason on steel guitar for half his set in Nijmagen, Holland. A rocking encore of Lost Highway with Rene, The Seatsniffers, and Jason brings down the house.

Good Sounds Records releases a Bruce Springsteen tribute cd which includes Jason singing MY HOMETOWN, produced by George Bradfute. Some other artists making a contribution are Elvis Costello, Cracker, Dion, Cindy Bullens, Billy Bragg Patti Griffin, Rosie Flores, and more. All royalties are to be donated to cancer research. The cd will be released in America in July.
