Jason Rinenberg is a bona fide country legend. King of the gingham shirt crew he’s been stomping his way through hoe downs and banjo storms for the past 30 years. CD one of this double pack collects up all his best material, from his tracks with The Scorchers to his essential solo out put. All the tracks on CD 2 are unreleased rarities selected by Jason himself.

Jason’s career spans from down tempo country ballads, which have almost certainly played inspiration to today’s alt country legends like Wilco and even 2008’s SXSW favourite’s Fleet Foxes, to boot breaking, belt cracking roots, check Punk Rock Skunk - you can even hear the beginnings of Epitaph’s Guttermouth.

This is fine introduction to an era defining career. And guess what… he’s on tour with The Scorchers right now. Not to be missed. Not on your nelly.
